News

From 19th December 2011, Light of Hope CIC will no longer be managing the Hope Centre, Wragley House, Hebden Bridge.

Over recent years there has been a gradual reduction of Light of Hope therapies, meditations and teaching at Wragley House and our membership at this centre has reduced. We took the decision to withdraw from the premises to focus our energy more effectively.

We are delighted that the centre is to continue as a facility providing a wide range of therapies, meditation and other holistic approaches under a new management team, and wish them every success in the future.

The change honours our obligations to our Landlord, suppliers and guests. All those who have been using the centre may continue to do so.

We still have a number of active members in West Yorkshire and will keep everyone up to date with events and activities over there in the new year.

We closed the energy at Wragley House on Sunday with a meditation of thanksgiving for all the beauty we have had the privilege to experience at the centre. We must thank all those who have supported the centre over the last 12 yrs, especially our very understanding, thoughtful and ethical landlord, Setbray Properties. Throughout out tenure, Setbray have been reasonable, flexible and supportive.

We are sad to leave Wragley House but look forward to the future with optimism and excitement.

We will be amending the website to reflect the new situation with regard to the Hebden Centre. In the meantime if you have any queries regarding the position please contact the Manchester Centre on 0161 973 9130 or e mail manchester@lightofhope.co.uk

Light of Hope is a Community Interest Company

Community Interest Companies (CICS) are limited companies, with special additional features, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage. This is achieved by a "community interest test" and "asset lock", which ensure that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes. Registration of a company as a CIC has to be approved by the Regulator who also has a continuing monitoring and enforcement role.
