After teachings of Swami Sivananda, is a non-proprietary form of hatha yoga in which the training focuses on preserving the health and wellness of the practitioner. Sivananda Yoga teachers are all graduates of the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course, and students widely range in age and degrees of ability. Unlike Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga's more athletic program involving Bandhas, Sivananda training revolves around frequent relaxation, and emphasizes full, yogic breathing.

"Baby yoga can be a fun and loving way to interact with your child, giving them a 3-
dimensional view of the world!"

(Vimala McClure, Founder, The Association of Infant Massage Instructors)
Doing baby yoga not only lays the foundations for babies' healthy physical and emotional
development; it enhances life with your baby by teaching you techniques for safe, relaxed
holding and picking up, soothing a crying baby, being playful together and relaxing
together.

Classes involve stretches and posture work for parents, with a focus on lifting, holding and
carrying your baby without strain. Many new mums experience back, neck and shoulder
aches and pains, and these can be greatly alleviated by the exercises taught in class.
Awareness of the breath and of your own energies helps renew and revive, and prevent
stress. Babies will benefit from your relaxation and enjoyment, settle in to the rhythm of the
class and often enjoy a really good sleep afterwards!

Babies experience massage, movement , songs and rhymes, and joint practices where
they can enjoy swinging, flying and being bendy with Mum- all with total respect for their
safety and individual needs! A baby yoga class can give them as much activity as they
would usually get in a whole day! ( that explains the good sleep after!)

Light of Hope is a Community Interest Company

Community Interest Companies (CICS) are limited companies, with special additional features, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage. This is achieved by a "community interest test" and "asset lock", which ensure that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits are dedicated to these purposes. Registration of a company as a CIC has to be approved by the Regulator who also has a continuing monitoring and enforcement role.
